Who is considered a Wholesale Investor?

Only Wholesale Investors can access some offers. Qualify by meeting experience, asset, or investment size criteria under NZ law.

Some investment opportunities on Snowball, including certain managed funds, are only available to Wholesale Investors under New Zealand law.

You must meet wholesale investor eligibility criteria to access wholesale-only offers.

How can I qualify as a Wholesale Investor?

You may qualify as a Wholesale Investor if you meet at least one of the following criteria (summarised criteria):

  • You have experience dealing with financial products and have completed an Eligible Investor Certificate.

  • Your net assets or turnover exceeded NZ$5 million in each of the last two financial years.

  • You’ve held or acquired NZ$1 million or more in financial products in the past two years.

  • You work in the financial sector or hold a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) licence.

  • You’re investing NZ$750,000 or more into an offer.
