Selling shares in a private company is more complex than selling publicly traded shares, as private shares are not listed on a stock exchange and therefore, there is no active marketplace for selling the shares.
If your shares are held through Snowball’s Nominee Structure, our team can assist with the transfer process once you have identified a buyer and agreed on terms. We can also advise you on any relevant transfer restrictions in the company’s governing documents, such as the Constitution or Shareholders’ Agreement (if applicable).
In most cases, minority shareholders within our Nominee Structure are free to sell their shares without restrictions. However, some companies include limitations, such as pre-emptive rights that require shares to be first offered to existing shareholders before a third-party sale can be completed.
